The businessman and the fisherman

The businessman approached the fisherman, who was lying on the beach in the sunshine, smoking his pipe.

Why aren’t you fishing?

Because I have caught enough.

But it’s still morning. Why don’t you go out again and catch some more fish?

What would I do with them?

You’d earn more money. Then you could buy a motor for your boat and go into deeper waters to catch more fish. That would bring you enough money to buy bigger, better nets. Soon you would have enough money to buy two boats, even a fleet. Then you could be rich!

What would I do then?

Then you could spend your time lying on the beach in the sunshine, smoking your pipe.
